35th Anniversary and Grand Re-Opening

2015 Ford Flex

The six- or seven-passenger 2015 Ford Flex, on sale now here at Antelope Valley Ford Lincoln Mazda in Lancaster, California, is a remarkably versatile family hauler that perfectly blends the three-row capacity and cargo room of a minivan with the all-season capability of an SUV. What makes the Flex unique is its sleek and stylish blend of modern design and old-school station wagon flair.
Standard in the Ford Flex is a 3.5-liter Ti-VCT V6 that sends 287 hp and 254 lb/ft of torque to the front wheels through a six-speed SelectShift Automatic® transmission and returns up to 25 mpg highway; Intelligent All-Wheel Drive is available, too. For even more grunt, a twin-turbocharged and direct-injected 3.5-liter EcoBoost® V6––paired with Active All-Wheel Drive––generates a whopping 365 hp and 350 lb/ft of torque through a six-speed automatic with paddle shifters. Adding to its versatility, the Flex can tow an impressive 4,500 pounds with either engine.
Unlike a conventional SUV, the Flex has a lower center of gravity for better handling. In addition, thanks to technologies like the available Torque Vectoring Control, the Flex can dynamically balance power distribution during cornering for improved traction, steering response and driver control. Outward visibility is excellent, and a four-wheel independent suspension and unibody construction make long road trips in the Flex a comfortable pleasure.
The Flex interior reflects great attention to detail and offers numerous luxurious conveniences to make those long road trips, and the daily commute, even more enjoyable. An available second-row refrigerated console can chill as many as seven 12-ounce cans to 41 degrees Fahrenheit, with a freeze mode down to 23 degrees.
Also available is the award-winning SYNC® with MyFord Touch® system, which features an eight-inch touch-screen in the center stack and twin 4.2-inch LCD screens in the instrument cluster to give the driver voice and steering-wheel control of audio, climate, navigation and phone functions.
In the entry trim, the Flex SE, standard amenities include heated side mirrors (new for 2015) and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The SEL trim features Intelligent Access with Push-Button Start and SYNC® with MyFord Touch®. The top Limited trim includes standard or available features like 20-inch alloy wheels, a new-for-2015 heated steering wheel, LED taillamps, a navigation system with rearview camera, leather upholstery and a power liftgate.
Unlike some three-row SUVs, the third row in the Flex can comfortably accommodate two six-foot-tall adult passengers. For added cargo space and versatility, the available PowerFold third-row seat folds flat with the push of a button. Second-row captain’s chairs are available, and with both second- and third-row seats folded flat, the Flex offers 83.2 cubic feet of cargo room.
The Flex also offers a long list of available driver assistance features, including Active Park Assist, which uses ultrasonic sensors to automatically steer the vehicle into a parallel parking space; Adaptive Cruise Control; Forward Collision Warning with Brake Support; Blind Spot Information System; and Curve Control. Exclusive inflatable rear safety belts are available to help reduce head, neck and chest injuries for more vulnerable passengers like children and the elderly.
In addition to its unique style, versatility and spaciousness, the Flex is also a smart buy. Intellichoice recently named the Flex a “SmartChoice Maintenance Costs” award winner in the “Full-Size Utility” category, praising its low overall cost of ownership and retained resale value.
These features and many more make the 2015 Ford Flex a top choice for a new family hauler. A remarkable blend of style, performance, versatility, safety, luxury and value make it flexible enough for a wide range of needs and budgets. Stop in for more information about the 2015 Ford Flex today.

2015 Ford F-150

The Ford F-150, America’s best-selling truck for 37 consecutive years and America’s best-selling vehicle for 32 years, is redesigned from the ground up with the industry’s most advanced technology features, to make both work and play easier and more enjoyable. Drivers who need a rugged, capable and dependable machine have developed a deep connection with Ford trucks, and the all-new 2015 Ford F-150, available soon here at Antelope Valley Ford Lincoln Mazda in Lancaster, California, will only strengthen this relationship.

Even the backbone of the F-150 is brand new. It features an improved fully boxed ladder frame with more high-strength steel––rated at up to 70,000 psi––making it stronger than many competitors’ heavy-duty trucks and lighter than ever before. Military-grade aerospace aluminum alloys are employed throughout the body to improve dent and ding resistance and reduce weight. In fact, a remarkable 700 pounds has been shaved off the new F-150, equating to better handling performance, faster stopping and improved fuel efficiency.

To ensure that the F-150 can handle anything its drivers can throw at it, preproduction models have been extensively torture-tested in labs, at proving grounds and with demanding truck customers in real-life scenarios. The new F-150 has already seen more than 10 million miles of testing, from towing heavy loads to enduring temperatures ranging from 20 degrees below zero to 120 degrees Fahrenheit.

The 2015 Ford F-150 offers a choice of four engines, to meet a wide range of power and efficiency needs. The standard 3.5-liter V6 is a solid choice, as is the tried-and-true 5.0-liter V8. For enhanced power and efficiency, a new turbocharged 2.7-liter EcoBoost® V6 with Auto Start-Stop technology is expected to deliver the same power as many mid-range V8s while returning class-leading fuel efficiency. A 3.5-liter EcoBoost® V6 will also be available, and all four engines will be paired with six-speed automatic transmissions and offer available four-wheel drive.

The 2015 Ford F-150 will be available in Regular Cab, SuperCab and SuperCrew configurations; Regular Cab and SuperCab models feature either a 6.5-foot or an eight-foot bed, while the SuperCrew offers a 5.5-foot or a 6.5-foot bed.

Because many drivers use their trucks as mobile offices, the 2015 Ford F-150 features available smart technologies like a new eight-inch LCD productivity screen that tabs fuel economy, towing tips and customized home screens based on driver needs; rear under-seat hidden storage for valuables; 400-watt, 110-volt power outlets for computers and mobile devices; and laptop stowage in the center console.

The new F-150 features a seemingly never-ending list of available features to make life, and tough work, easier. Available features include a 360-degree camera to help make parking and maneuvering in tight quarters a breeze; integrated loading ramps for ATVs and motorcycles; BoxLink metal brackets and cleats for flexible cargo securing capacity; LED headlamps and taillamps for superior visibility; Trailer Hitch Assist with Rearview Camera; a smart trailer tow module that warns the driver of burned out trailer lamps; remote tailgate locking with hands-free operation and integrated tailgate step; LED spotlights in sideview mirrors; and LED lighting in the cargo box.

The 2015 Ford F-150 also boasts some of the most advanced safety technologies in the industry, including available second-row inflatable safety belts, Curve Control to deliver automatic four-wheel braking when the truck enters a corner too fast, Adaptive cruise Control, a lane-keeping system and Blind Spot Information System with Cross-Traffic Alert.

The all-new Ford F-150 is scheduled to arrive in showrooms this fall, and more details and performance specifications will be forthcoming. Stop in today and get on the contact list to stay updated, and be among the first to see and drive the new 2015 Ford F-150 when it gets here.

Antelope Valley Ford Lincoln's 35th Anniversary and Grand Re-Opening

Antelope Valley Ford and Lincoln, which has offered the best Ford service since 1979, is pleased to announce its grand re-opening and 35th anniversary after the new remodel.

Antelope Valley Ford and Lincoln began remodeling this past spring and have finally completed its remodeling this month with a new Ford and Lincoln showroom and service area to enhance our customer’s experience. The 35th Anniversary and Grand Re-Opening is a formal event open to the public with hors d’oeuvres brought to you by The Lemon Leaf CafĂ©, along with beverages and live music.

Antelope Valley Ford and Lincoln owner, Mike Johnson, started in the car business in the midst of the Arab oil crisis. Yet he made the most of it. After learning the ropes for a few years, in 1979 he earned the distinction of being the youngest person ever to be awarded a Ford franchise, Antelope Valley Ford. He's been at it ever since. Johnson added Mazda to the mix in 2008. He also expanded the dealership's service offerings to include a Quick Lane service center, where common maintenance is performed quickly and at competitive prices. According to Mike, it's all about treating your customers well. “People here are very loyal,” says Johnson. “If you treat them right and give them good service, they'll come back, again and again, bringing their family and friends with them.”

The 35th Anniversary and Grand Re-Opening celebration will be held at Antelope Valley Ford and Lincoln in the brand new showroom on October 30, 2014. The event will start at 6:00pm and run until 8:00pm.
