The Ford F-150, America’s best-selling truck for 37 consecutive years and America’s best-selling vehicle for 32 years, is redesigned from the ground up with the industry’s most advanced technology features, to make both work and play easier and more enjoyable. Drivers who need a rugged, capable and dependable machine have developed a deep connection with Ford trucks, and the all-new 2015 Ford F-150, available soon here at Antelope Valley Ford Lincoln Mazda in Lancaster, California, will only strengthen this relationship.
Even the backbone of the F-150 is brand new. It features an improved fully boxed ladder frame with more high-strength steel––rated at up to 70,000 psi––making it stronger than many competitors’ heavy-duty trucks and lighter than ever before. Military-grade aerospace aluminum alloys are employed throughout the body to improve dent and ding resistance and reduce weight. In fact, a remarkable 700 pounds has been shaved off the new F-150, equating to better handling performance, faster stopping and improved fuel efficiency.
To ensure that the F-150 can handle anything its drivers can throw at it, preproduction models have been extensively torture-tested in labs, at proving grounds and with demanding truck customers in real-life scenarios. The new F-150 has already seen more than 10 million miles of testing, from towing heavy loads to enduring temperatures ranging from 20 degrees below zero to 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
The 2015 Ford F-150 offers a choice of four engines, to meet a wide range of power and efficiency needs. The standard 3.5-liter V6 is a solid choice, as is the tried-and-true 5.0-liter V8. For enhanced power and efficiency, a new turbocharged 2.7-liter EcoBoost® V6 with Auto Start-Stop technology is expected to deliver the same power as many mid-range V8s while returning class-leading fuel efficiency. A 3.5-liter EcoBoost® V6 will also be available, and all four engines will be paired with six-speed automatic transmissions and offer available four-wheel drive.
The 2015 Ford F-150 will be available in Regular Cab, SuperCab and SuperCrew configurations; Regular Cab and SuperCab models feature either a 6.5-foot or an eight-foot bed, while the SuperCrew offers a 5.5-foot or a 6.5-foot bed.
Because many drivers use their trucks as mobile offices, the 2015 Ford F-150 features available smart technologies like a new eight-inch LCD productivity screen that tabs fuel economy, towing tips and customized home screens based on driver needs; rear under-seat hidden storage for valuables; 400-watt, 110-volt power outlets for computers and mobile devices; and laptop stowage in the center console.
The new F-150 features a seemingly never-ending list of available features to make life, and tough work, easier. Available features include a 360-degree camera to help make parking and maneuvering in tight quarters a breeze; integrated loading ramps for ATVs and motorcycles; BoxLink metal brackets and cleats for flexible cargo securing capacity; LED headlamps and taillamps for superior visibility; Trailer Hitch Assist with Rearview Camera; a smart trailer tow module that warns the driver of burned out trailer lamps; remote tailgate locking with hands-free operation and integrated tailgate step; LED spotlights in sideview mirrors; and LED lighting in the cargo box.
The 2015 Ford F-150 also boasts some of the most advanced safety technologies in the industry, including available second-row inflatable safety belts, Curve Control to deliver automatic four-wheel braking when the truck enters a corner too fast, Adaptive cruise Control, a lane-keeping system and Blind Spot Information System with Cross-Traffic Alert.
The all-new Ford F-150 is scheduled to arrive in showrooms this fall, and more details and performance specifications will be forthcoming. Stop in today and get on the contact list to stay updated, and be among the first to see and drive the new 2015 Ford F-150 when it gets here.
